Ried Breiten
The “Breiten” is a flat sloping hillside that directly borders Vienna’s largest, picturesque Kellergasse. Rarely without any overlay, millions of years-old flysch dominates this area. These highly compressed sandstones provide the vines with a powerful rootable space, while at the same time providing good drainage for the soils. These conditions force further and a more rapid warming of the soil, as well as a favorable supply of nutrients from the vineyards.
